30 SECOND BOOSTS TO BETTER HEALTH

Hello! I hope you’re well!

And, Yes, that’s me in that video doing what looks weird, but makes me feel great. John + the boys were the only ones who would see me doing this…until now.

We all have things we geek out on, I have many. Health stuff…nutrition + fitness inspiration to name a few.

I’m far from perfect, but my health is high on my list of priorities. Eating well (mostly), moving my body + feeling strong help me find balance.

I recently read that quick bursts of energy are a great boost for your health. I was amped, as have done this daily forever, as in every time I warm my tea or I’m heading down the hall or waiting for something. I work from home, so there are lots of moments to take advantage of.  I’m no doctor or fitness guru, but I made a quick video that ought to provide a good chuckle or inspiration. Note I’m wearing everyday comfy clothes, not workout wear, because who wears running gear all day every day? Not even triathletes I’m guessing. Also, you don’t need a huge space to do any of this, just do in place instead of gazelle-ing around like I do.

Cheers + love from the countryside,

xxx

Tracy

P.S. If you try this, let me know how it goes!

 MORE INSPO

  • 30 seconds to a minute can really do the trick
  • Keep a set of light weights nearby to add a little challenge to your bursts. 3lb, 5lb + 8lb weights go a long way
  • Get a jump rope and start small with it. It’s amazing what one minute of jumping rope feels like at 52
  • Keep a chair or ottoman available for squats. It’ll offer knee support + keep your form good
  • Start slow, little bits go a long way and add up fast
  • Change things up so you are using different muscle groups
  • Think like a child. Jumping, hopping, skipping
  • Breathe

I love your training video. It’s exactly what I’m doing and have been since my cancer diagnosis. I love this type of exercise and had no idea other people were too I love my purchase. The pants are so comfortable. My first and probably not my last purchase

Tracey you’ve got the moves. I enjoyed your video too. When I’m moving at home my dog and cat look at me like I’m crazy.
The key is just keep moving..you definitely motivate us in fashion and now fitness 💕

So motivating! I need to move more. And I work from home too. I like how you are in your adorable outfit while working out. I hate gym clothes. You just gave me permission to move in the clothes I have on my back! And that’s why I love shopping Porter Collective – everything is so comfy all the time.

Love it! I’m always taking advantage of moments I can move, while I’m waiting for things! I have a long tile hallway downstairs (22’) and keep a plastic bin of old, heavy books under the stairs. I throw a 35lb kettlebell on top, and I’ve got the perfect “sled” for squat-pushing up and down the hall, after I change the laundry over! I also lunge instead of walk up the stairs, and dance around the house a lot:)

Fun to watch you. I do many of the same exercises except jumping rope. I jump on a rebounder! Short burst of exercises work best for me too. I am much older than you!

Hey Annie!
Thanks for watching! I’m like you, neck issues. I had a fall a few years back that wracked my neck and I also spend lots of time in front of the computer! Getting up and moving often really helps me! Hope your week is gorgeous ! Cheers + love! xxx T.

Hey Sheila!
I’m so glad you liked the video! I figured why not share something that makes me feel wonderful! I think not having to change into workout clothes to move throughout the day is freeing! Comfy + stretchy stuff works! Enjoy the rest of your day! Cheers + love xxx T.

Love this!! I do the arm swinging everyday and bending arms over my head behind my neck as I have neck problems, helps to get the kinks out, especially if working in front of computer 🖥️. Also, soup cans work great for arm weights! I love to skip! Think like a kid! Perfect analogy!

This is fabulous! Thanks for sharing, Tracy. I’m sure many of us were wondering what you do to stay so fit! Little bursts seem do-able and I love that you can do them wearing your collection!
